DEFINITION
Heart failure (see card) where the cardiac output is elevated, due to excessive demand, particularly as a precipitant for a predisposed heart.

AETIOLOGY
Pathogenesis

Cardiac output is elevated, yet still cannot meet demands of supply to tissues.
Heart is often predisposed.

Pregnancy.
